NATtrol™
products are excellent standards for Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT), that
control for all steps in NAT testing including centrifugation,
extraction, amplification and detection.
NATtrol™ products are prepared from highly
purified viruses that are isolated from either cell culture or from the
plasma of infected individuals. The viral particles are treated
chemically and enzymatically
to alter their surface proteins while leaving their nucleic acid
intact. The treated viral particles are unable to bind or penetrate
host cells and we have demonstrated at least 5 logarithms of viral
inactivation for each product.
